Welcome Brianna Stopher

Brianna Stopher Named Butler Volleyball Assistant Coach

| By:
Head Coach Kyle Shondell has announced the hiring of Brianna Stopher as Butler's newest assistant volleyball coach. Stopher most recently was an assistant coder with the Indy Ignite, where she assisted in scouting and coding projects.

"Bri's background and experience make her a perfect addition to our program," said Shondell. "Her energy and character are in lockstep with our culture and I can't wait for her to get started!"

"I'm grateful and excited to join the Butler family and couldn't be more ready to get to work," said Stopher. "It's an honor to have the opportunity to work alongside this staff and help develop our athletes both on and off the court. I'm looking forward to building relationships, connecting with the Butler community and competing in the BIG EAST. Go Dawgs!"

Before working with the Ignite, Stopher served as an assistant coach and the director of volleyball analytics for IU Indianapolis. In her role, she planned itineraries for travel matches, created scouting reports and helped with on-court coaching.

She has also served as a head coach and assistant coach with Top Flight Volleyball Club, CROI Volleyball Club, and Cathedral High School. Stopher graduated from the University of Georgia in 2024 with her bachelor's in Mathematics before completing her master's in Data Analytics at IU Indianapolis in December 2025.
