Charles Mackley, Luke Green and Mason Armstrong were named to the 2026 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League Team on Tuesday afternoon. All three bulldogs return to the squad for their junior campaign. 
 
Mackley was an integral part of Butler's offensive line last season starting at guard in all 12 games. He was part of a unit that allowed only 15 sacks on the season. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich. native played in only six games in 2024 before having a breakout season in 2025 as a staple of the offensive line. Mackley also landed on Phil Steele's All-PFL First Team. 
 
Green and Armstrong both earned PFL honorable mention honors in 2025. Green accumulated 23 total tackles and two tackles for loss while blocking two kicks last season. Armstrong was second on the team in tackles a season ago with 65 to his credit. The Madison, Wis. native tallied 10 tackles for loss and one sack to go with a fumble recovery. Armstrong garnered a spot on Phil Steele's Third Team for his efforts on the defensive side of the ball.

Season tickets for the 2026 Butler football season include general admission adult tickets for just $85 and reserved seats for only $105. Season parking passes are also available for purchase.
 
Cabanas are also available again this season for Butler Football games. The package includes a private 9x10 cabana with enclosure on three sides. Two parking passes and 12 general admission tickets are included in the single-game package ($395) or three-game package ($999).
 
The Bulldogs' season opener lands on Aug. 29 when the Bulldogs host Georgetown College (Ky.) at the Bud and Jackie Sellick Bowl. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
