The Butler women's soccer team plays a pair of matches this week. The Bulldogs host Ball State for their home opener Thursday before traveling to Ohio to face Miami Sunday.
 
Butler (0-1-0) dropped its season opener at Wright State, 2-1, Thursday. Ball State (1-0-0) defeated IU Indy to open their season, while Miami (*0-1-0) opened 2026 with a loss to Xavier of the BIG EAST; the RedHawks will host Morehead State Thursday prior to welcoming the Bulldogs.

at Wright State (Sunday, Aug. 16)
·        Lily Kiliski's goal (a penalty kick) was her first as a Butler Bulldog and the first of her collegiate career.
·        Butler out-shot the hosts 20-7, and put more shots on frame, 12-4.
·        Riley Gumm, Chrissy Graves, Kensey Teffner, and Sarah Monnin each made their first collegiate starts in the match.
·        Isabella Ayau saw her first start in the Butler Bulldogs' lineup.

2026 Season

• Chloe Brecht was chosen for the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. The defender/midfielder was an All-BIG EAST Third Team selection in 2025 who notched a pair of goals and also dished out four assists.
• Butler has replaced 11 players from the 2025 roster with three transfers (Lily Kiliski/Boston College, Riley Gumm/San Diego State, Isabella Ayau/San Francisco) and 10 freshmen.
• 2026 will be Co-Head Coach Tari St. John's 21st at the helm of the Butler women's soccer program. Co-Head Coach Rob Alman begins his 15th.
