Box Score OXFORD, Ohio – The Butler women's soccer team traveled to Oxford, Ohio, to take on the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks on Sunday night. Butler earned three points on the road with a 1-0 victory. Addison Ash was sensational for Butler in goal, recording a career-high 12 saves. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 1-1-1 on the season while the RedHawks slide to 1-2-0 overall.
 
In the 66th minute, Chloe Brecht tallied her second goal of the season off an assist from Sarah Monnin. Brecht's goal proved to be the winner and is the first game-winner of her career.

• 6' | Miami came out of the gates hot, taking three shots in the first six minutes, two of which forced Addison Ash into action early as the sophomore made two saves.
• 21' | Butler put its first shot on frame in the contest as Monnin headed a shot toward the bottom left corner of the goal, but the RedHawk keeper was able to make the comfortable save.
• 33' | Ash continued her strong first half performance with back-to-back diving saves. The keeper notched her fifth and sixth save of the game in under a minute, keeping the score even with 12 minutes remaining in the half.

HALFTIME

• 66' | A Butler throw-in deep in RedHawk territory saw Monnin get on the end of it and beat a defender before cutting the ball back towards the top of the box from the endline. Brecht was on the receiving end of Monnin's pass and hit a one-timer with her left foot into the bottom-left corner of the net, giving the Bulldogs the 1-0 advantage.
• 86' | Ash was called into action once again and came up big with a point-blank save, keeping Butler's 1-0 lead intact.
