NEW YORK – Butler junior Chloe Brecht has been selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team as announced by the conference office on Monday, August 3.
The major awards and Preseason All-BIG EAST Team were voted on by the conference head coaches who could not cast ballots for their own team or their own student-athletes.
Brecht earned All-BIG EAST Third Team recognition in 2025. She finished the season with a pair of goals and also dished out four assists. It was her first season in a Butler uniform after transferring into the program following her freshman season at Pittsburgh.
As a team, the Bulldogs landed in the eighth spot in the 2026 BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll. Georgetown led the conference with eight of 11 first-place votes, finishing with 98 points. UConn landed in the second position with a pair of first-place votes and 87 points. Xavier garnered the remaining first-place vote and finished third with 78 points. Creighton and Villanova rounded out the top five.
