Butler goalkeeper
Brooks Boersma has been named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after his performance this past week at No. 14 Indiana. This is his first BIG EAST weekly honor and was attained in only his third career appearance.
Â
Boersma made a league-high 13 saves in Butler's narrow 1-0 setback on Thursday. The redshirt junior kept the Hoosiers off the board for the opening 61 minutes, finishing with a .929 save percentage while facing 33 shots. His 13 saves were the most by a Butler goalkeeper since 2000 and tied for the fourth-highest single-game save total in program history.
Â
Butler is back on the pitch in the Sellick Bowl tonight. The Bulldogs host Memphis with a 6 p.m. scheduled kickoff.
