2026 WSOC BIG EAST Weekly

Four Bulldogs Earn BIG EAST Weekly Recognition

| By:
Butler midfielder Chloe Brecht and goalkeeper Addison Ash were tabbed this week with two of the four major weekly awards in the BIG EAST, and teammates Lola Pepper and Kensey Teffner were each named to the Weekly Honor Roll. Brecht was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Ash was recognized as BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week.

The four Bulldogs were honored after Butler produced a pair of shutouts this week, defeating IU Indy on the road, 4-0, and beating Central Michigan at home, 3-0.

Brecht tallied two goals and an assist, earning the first brace of her career at IU Indy. The junior from Powell, Ohio, led the team with five points and tied for first with three shots on goal. She was second on the team with six total shots.

Ash, a sophomore from Fishers, Ind., was perfect between the pipes this week, making five saves over the two matches and producing two clean sheets.

Teffner helped lead the Butler defensive line, limiting both opponents to a combined 16 shots with only five on frame. The freshman from Linden, Mich., also notched her first collegiate assist on Butler's first goal at IU Indy.

Pepper, a freshman from Winona Lake, Ind., dished out an assist at IU Indy and then punched in an unassisted goal versus Central Michigan.

Butler will host Western Illinois this weekend as a part of Butler Homecoming festivities. The Saturday kickoff at Varsity Field is set for 2 p.m.
