Butler goalkeeper Brooks Boersma has been named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after his performance last Friday at No. 6 Akron.

Boersma made eight saves in 90 minutes of action as the Bulldogs shut out the Zips on their own pitch. He and the Bulldogs defense faced 22 total shots in the match.

This is the second BIG EAST weekly honor for the redshirt-junior who is in his first season of action.

Butler is on the road this week, traveling to Providence for a BIG EAST contest on Saturday.
