INDIANAPOLIS - The Butler men's soccer team and Lindenwood were level at the half, but the visiting Lions (3-1-1) punched in two second-half goals and held off the Bulldogs (0-4-1) for a 2-0 final result.

"I thought we had a pretty good first half; that was probably one of our best halves of the season. We got into their final third a lot, but our execution on chance creation wasn't great. But, overall, I thought we did a good job. We got a lot of corner kicks. We made things difficult for them, and our pressing was quite good. Unfortunately, we came out in the second half a little flat. It was disappointing because I thought the game was there for us. We let them back in it and gave away two goals that I think were preventable. If we're going to compete in the BIG EAST, we've got to put 90-minute performances together, and I don't think we've done that yet…but we're working towards it. Now we can focus on Western Michigan, but we'll learn from this. Our group is growing together… into the group we are going to become. We're not there yet, but all these are learning moments for us. We've got to take something out of it and continue to move forward."

• 55' | Lindenwood attacks down the right side, as Phillip Viberg Rasmussen plays forward to Ethan Wells. Wells carries and plays back to Rasmussen, who is open in the box and one-times the ball into the net from 15 yards out. The Lions take a 1-0 lead.
• 77' | Luca Bartoni sends a Lindenwood free kick directly into the upper right corner of the goal from 24 yards out. The lead is 2-0.
