Butler is set to have three matches this upcoming week. Starting on Tuesday, the Bulldogs will travel to Evanston, Ill, to face Northwestern. Then the Bulldogs will return home to host Bellarmine at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Thursday. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will travel to Kentucky to face Bellarmine.

Butler Recently 

• Butler recently competed in the Indy Invitational. The Bulldogs went 3-0, defeating Youngstown State, Akron, and Ohio, all in 3 sets.  
• Carly Slusser earned BIG EAST weekly honors roll, Co-MVP, and All-Tournament Team in the Indy Invitational. Slusser also recorded the third-highest overall single-game hitting percentage (.818) in Butler history. 

 
Bulldog Bits 
*At the Indy Invitational*

• Carly Slusser, who earned BIG EAST honor roll, tallied 19 digs in nine against Youngstown State. She also had nine blocks in Invitational play.    
• Jersey Loyer recorded 40 digs, including 15 against Youngstown State. She also tallied seven assists and five service aces, including the game-winning service ace against Ohio. 
• Elise Ward tallied 22 kills, including 12 against Youngstown State. She also marked 18 digs and two assists in this past weekend's contests. 
• Sawyer Jones recorded 19 kills, 7 against Ohio and Youngstown State. She also recorded three blocks in Invitational play
• Maria Nix tallied 17 kills, including six against Akron and Ohio. She also recorded four blocks over the weekend. 
• Kaylee Finnegan recorded 46 assists, including 22 against Youngstown State. She also recorded 12 digs during Invitational play.

 
Scouting Northwestern 
The Wildcats finished 17-15 overall in 2025, including a 7-13 record in B1G TEN  play. This season, the Wildcats are 2-3. Ayah Elnady leads the Wildcats this season with 371 kills. Lauren Carter leads the Wildcats with 744 assists on the season.  
 
Scouting Bellarmine 
The Knights finished 11-17 overall in 2025, including a 5-11 record in the Southern Conference. This season, the Knights are 3-3; Natalie Bland leads with 85 kills. Maddie Carnes recorded 237 assists this season.
