2022 - Fifth Season: Logged 1678 minutes in goal, becoming Butler's all-time leader in minutes played in goal...started all 19 matches for the Bulldogs, posting a 10-6-3 overall record...notched 5 solo shutouts with one additional combined...made 65 saves (.730)...conceded 24 goals for a 1.29 GAA...made 7 saves in shutout and upset victory over No. 14 Marshall, Aug. 29...chosen to College Soccer News Team of the Week (9/4)...named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week (9/5).
2021 - Senior Season: Started all 19 matches in goal for the Bulldogs, logging all 1785 minutes (10th on Butler's All-Time list)...posted a 7-9-3 record that included five shutouts...allowed 20 goals in 19 matches, producing a 1.01 goals against average...made 63 saves with a .759 save percentage...twice named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, and selected twice to Honor Roll...named to College Soccer News Team of the Week in both October and November...overall rankings compared to BIG EAST competitors include: Shutouts- 2nd (5), GAA- 5th (1.01), Save Percentage- 5th (.759), and Saves/Game- 5th (3.32).
SPRING 2021 - Junior Season: Started all 12 matches for the Bulldogs, playing all 1,148 minutes...posted five shutouts on the season, all of which came against BIG EAST opponents...had a 4-6-2 record with a 1.10 goals against average...made 34 saves on a .708 save percentage...twice named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week (on March 15 and April 5)...ranked in the Top 10 in the BIG EAST in goals against average (sixth), save percentage (seventh), and saves per game (2.83 per game for eighth)...made a season-best six saves vs. Marquette March 27.
2019 - Sophomore Season: Started all 20 matches in goal for the Bulldogs, posting a 1.27 goals against average...made 92 saves and registered a 0.773 save percentage...his 11-7-2 record included six shutouts...his 92 saves led the BIG EAST and his 4.60 saves per game average was second in the conference...the six shutouts tied for third in the BIG EAST...two of his shutouts came against BIG EAST opponents...named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week and picked up BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors Oct. 21 after leading the Bulldogs to an overtime win at Lipscomb Oct. 16 followed by a 4-0 decision on the road at Seton Hall Oct. 19...earned a spot on the five-member BIG EAST honor roll Sept. 30 after posting the win in Butler’s 2-1 triumph over No. 5 Indiana Sept. 24, making five saves, including a key stop on the first half penalty kick.Â
2018 - Freshman Season: Starting keeper in 16 of the team's 18 games...logged 1,485 minutes on the season...posted one shutout at #16 Western Michigan on Aug. 30…made a total of 53 saves leading to a .624 save percentage…registered a season-high seven saves against Creighton on Sept. 15.
PRIOR TO BUTLER:Â In his native Italy, Gjergji starred for Club SIMA. The goalie finished his prep career at Montverde Academy in Florida, playing for coach Mike Potempa, who previously coached at Clemson as the Tigers advanced to the 2005 College Cup.
PERSONAL: Son of Marta Rapi and Jonny Gjergji...has a brother, Nikolas.
