Decided to transfer from Butler following the 2020-21 season.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020-21 SEASON): Opted out of the remainder of the 2020-21 season on Jan. 26, 2021 due to COVID-19 concerns after taking an indefinite leave of absence from the program for personal reasons, beginning Jan. 16...played in eight games for the Bulldogs with his final appearance coming at St. John's Jan. 12...averaged 0.5 points and 2.0 points per game...averaged 9.6 minutes per game in his eight contests...had a career-high seven rebounds vs. Georgetown Jan. 6, his only game leading the team in rebounding...scored a career-high four points in that same game.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019-20 SEASON): His first official minutes as a Bulldog came vs. Southern, Dec. 14...injuries held him out of the team's first 10 games of the season...played in seven games and a total of 18 minutes...averaged 1.0 points and 1.1 rebounds per game...had a season-high three points in the March 4 win over St. John's...pulled down a season-best three rebounds vs. Southern Dec. 14.

The 2019-20 season was canceled on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Michigan Associated Press Class B All-State Second-Team selection...as a senior, led Godwin Heights to a 21-2 record...averaged 22.3 points and 15 rebounds per game...as a junior, Hastings averaged 14.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, and 2.1 assists...Godwin Heights won a Michigan Class B state title during his freshman season and posted a 22-2 record during his junior campaign under coach Tyler Whittemore.
