Fan Guide for Events at Hinkle Fieldhouse

Butler Athletics strives to make your game day enjoyable. Please do your part to help make any game a safe event for all in attendance.

SEATING CHART FOR MEN'S BASKETBALL

SEATING FOR VOLLEYBALL AT HINKLE FIELDHOUSE IS GENERAL ADMISSION. SEATING FOR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL IS GENERAL ADMISSION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE COURTSIDE SEATING, WHICH IS RESERVED.

GUEST SERVICES
For customer service assistance at men's basketball games, please visit the Guest Services desk located on the south concourse of Hinkle Fieldhouse near the Gate 4 ticket office. Complimentary game programs, athletics posters and buttons are available for pick-up each game as supplies last. Lost and found, first aid support, patron wheelchair assistance and nursing mother room access is also provided at this location.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Wheelchair accessible seating is available throughout Hinkle Fieldhouse. If you need accessible seating, please contact the Butler Ticket Office as soon as possible prior to game day. Seating areas will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible seating areas are marked in orange on the seating chart.

If you need to exchange your ticket for an accessible seat on game day, please visit the Guest Services desk inside Gate 4.

ADDRESS
The address for Hinkle Fieldhouse is 510 W. 49th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208. The Fieldhouse appears in most standard navigational systems. Hinkle Fieldhouse is surrounded by 49th Street to the south, Boulevard Place to the east, 52nd Street to the north and Sunset Ave. to the west.

ALCOHOL
Alcohol is sold at the concession stands for ticketed events at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Proper identification must be shown at the point of purchase or at any time, if requested by event security. There is a limit of two canned beverages or one "wine for two" per purchase.

ANIMALS
Animals are not permitted at Athletic events. Exceptions are made for service animals with proper identification.

ATM
The ATM is located inside Gate 4, near the Hinkle Spirit Shop. Additionally, all concession and merchandise stands accept credit cards.


BEHAVIOR
Spectators are not allowed on the court or sidelines at any time before or during the game. Fans are also prohibited from throwing items onto the court/field. Such behavior will result in removal from the facility. Butler reserves the right to remove from individuals whose behavior disrupts players, coaches, officials or other fans. No refunds will be given in these cases.

CONCESSIONS
For volleyball and women's basketball, all concessions operate out of the main stand in the east concourse of Hinkle, next to the Spirit Shop.

For Men's Basketball, Hinkle will house eight concession stands filled with your fieldhouse favorites, but coupled with scratch made alternatives and add-ons that are sure to please!

The concession stands will feature items like local burgers and brats - grilled right in front of you, street tacos, house-smoked meats, and souvenir staples. Our local food program sources meat, produce and other items from farms within 40 miles of Indianapolis. Since our food is scratch made from fresh ingredients prepared simply, we are able to offer a healthier and better tasting option at almost all of our stands.

Lower Concourse by Section 108
This Snack Stand is the go to for those quick bites concessions are known for (Pretzels, nachos, etc). Fruits and garden salads will also be located here and ready for those that want to eat a little lighter while enjoying the game.

Lower East Concourse by Spirit Shop
The Favorites Stand will house your classic concession items and highlight Hinkle's food partnerships. The classics get a facelift with better brands and higher quality foods. Hotdogs, candy and popcorn are staples, but partnerships such as Chick-fil-A help make these stands delicious.

Lower Concourse at Gate 4 Near Guest Services
This stand is your quick grabs such as popcorn, Blue Bunny ice cream and beverages.

Lower Concourse near Gate 1
This area will hold two stands:
Our Street Tacos will follow the tradition - filled with beef, chicken or beans and veggies with lime and cilantro. We also offer house made cheeses to smother your tacos and nachos.
Our grill will be sizzling right before your eyes with all the amazing smells a grill can offer. Locally sourced burgers, brats, smoked meats are sure to leave you wanting more. This stand will offer pulled pork sandwiches, brats and burgers.

Upper Concourse by Section 319
This stand is your quick grabs such as popcorn, Blue Bunny ice cream and beverages.

Upper Concourse by Section 305
This area will hold two stands:

EMERGENCIES AND FIRST AID
At men's basketball, first Aid is available from on-site EMTs, located in the northeast corner of the court during the game. If medical emergencies occur during the game, please contact the on-site security staff.

At volleyball and women's basketball, please alert any member of the Butler Athletics staff or the ESG event personnel. They will alert the on-site team doctor as needed.


ELEVATOR
An elevator is located on the west side of Hinkle Fieldhouse. It provides access to all levels of the building. The upper level seating area is located on level 4.


FIRST GAME & BIRTHDAY BUTTONS
Complimentary buttons are available at Guest Services for those fans enjoying their first game at Hinkle or celebrating a birthday. Guest services is located next to the Gate 4 ticket office.

GATES OPEN
For men's basketball, gates open 90 minutes prior to tip-off. Fans with upper level seating are encouraged to access their seats via the ramps upon entry.

For women's basketball and volleyball, gates open 60 minutes prior to scheduled start time.

GAME PROGRAMS

Game programs, as well as schedule posters, are available at Guest Services. Guest services is located next to the Gate 4 ticket office. They are also available on the rack located next to the ATM.

HOSPITALITY
The Bulldog Club offers approximately 40 hospitality opportunities before and at halftime of Butler men's basketball, women's basketball games and football games. For all 19 home men's basketball games during the 2020-21 season, the Bulldog Club Hospitality Area in the Efroymson Family Gym will open 90 minutes prior to tipoff.

Qualifying donors can access the Efroymson Family Gym via the barcode on their season ticket. Wildman Room patrons must display their credential for access. For women's basketball, hospitality is available for those at the $500 level and above. Qualifying donors will be checked in at the door via a gate list.


LOST AND FOUND
Lost items should be turned into the Guest Services desk at Gate 4 or the Gate 4 ticket office.

MERCHANDISE
Butler merchandise is available from the Follett's Spirit Shop location inside Gate 4 on the lower level and from the secondary location in the southeast corner of the upper level. The Spirit Shop will remain open for 30 minutes after the final buzzer.

METAL DETECTORS
Walk through metal detectors are located at each main entrance to Hinkle Fieldhouse for men's basketball. For details, please click here


PARKING - MEN'S BASKETBALL
Season parking passes for the Hinkle Fieldhouse lot are sold out. The opportunity to purchase passes was open to season ticket holders based on priority points. The lots will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off. Spots are held for passholders until 15 minutes prior to tip-off.

For some games, parking may be available in the Hinkle lot. Spaces will be sold on a first-come, first - served basis. Additional parking is available in the Butler University garage, located just west of Hinkle Fieldhouse. Spots are available on game day for $10.

PARKING - WOMEN'S BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL
Parking is available for free in the main Hinkle Fieldhouse lot.

POST-GAME SHOOTAROUND
As has been Hinkle Fieldhouse tradition, the court will be available after both men's and women's basketball games for individuals to shoot baskets. You must provide your own ball and individuals who enter the court assume all risk and liability.

We kindly ask that you remain off the court until the post-game television interview has concluded and security personnel has provided the go-ahead.


PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Weapons of any type including licensed concealed carry weapons, knives, mace, blades, tools, etc.
  • Outside food or beverage, with exceptions for one (1) unopened bottle of water per person on days where the temperature is in excess of 85 degrees.
  • Laser pens or laser products of any type
  • Balloons
  • Air horns or noise makers of any type
  • Selfie sticks or telescopic devices
  • Signs, posters or messages on any garment with explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization directed toward any person
  • Smoking of any kind is prohibited, including e-cigarettes
  • Strollers
  • Drones or any other model aircraft
  • Animals or pets (excluding service animals)
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by Butler University management.

RE-ENTRY
In accordance with state excise laws, re-entry (pass outs) are not permitted for events at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located via the ramp systems on the east and west sides of the Fieldhouse. Restrooms are also located in the lower level in both the east and west hallways.

Gender inclusive and Family Restrooms are located in the east and west hallways on the upper and lower levels. Nursing mother accommodations are available in the Hinkle Fieldhouse family restrooms. A private and secure room is also available for nursing mother use with staff assistance. Please visit the Gate 4 ticket office or Guest Services kiosk to gain access to this space.

SIGNS
Signs are permitted inside Hinkle Fieldhouse, provided they are no larger than a standard piece of poster board and are in good taste. All signage is subject to inspection by security or game operations personnel.

SMOKING
Hinkle Fieldhouse and the Sellick Bowl are smoke-free facilities. The use of tobacco products inside the gates is strictly prohibited.

TICKETS
The Butler Ticket Office is located inside Gate 4 of Hinkle Fieldhouse. The ticket office is open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For men's basketball, ticket offices will be open on gameday at Gates 1 and 4. For volleyball and women's basketball, the Gate 4 box office will be open.

TOURS
Hinkle Fieldhouse is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:30-5 p.m. Self-guided tours are encouraged utilizing the numbered markers located throughout the building.

WATER
Reusable bottles are permitted inside the gates of Hinkle Fieldhouse, provided they are empty. Empty water bottles may be filled at the water fountains inside the building.
