1991 Football Team
The 1991 Bulldogs became the third team in program history to advance to the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The Bulldogs captured the Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference title and posted an overall record of 9-2. Their playoff run was ended by eventual national champ Pittsburg State, 26-16. Butler was ranked fifth in the final NCAA Division II national poll and led NCAA Division II in scoring defense, allowing only nine touchdowns in 10 regular season games.
