2024 Season (Senior): All-Pioneer Football League Second Team selection... Phil Steele All-PFL Second Team selection... Started in all 12 games… Led Butler in total tackles (68) and was tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (11.5)… Ranked second on the team in sacks (4)… Forced a fumble in the season finale at Presbyterian (11/23) and recovered a fumble the week prior vs. St Thomas (11/16)… Had a season-high 10 tackles at Drake (10/12)… Matched that effort with 10 more at Davidson (10/26)… Credited with three tackles for loss in back-to-back games against Dayton and Davidson… Recorded a sack against both Dayton and Davidson… First two sacks of the season came early against Upper Iowa and Murray State… Made seven tackles in the season opener vs. the Peacocks (8/31)… Ended the year with nine tackles at Presbyterian (11/23).

2023 Season (Junior): Played in nine games, making eight starts… Ranked fourth on the team with 51 tackles (28 solo)… Averaged 5.6 tackles per game to rank 24th among all PFL players... Recorded a season-high nine tackles at St. Thomas (10/7) and matched that effort with nine more at Dayton (10/21)… Came up with six solo tackles and two tackles for loss vs. Davidson (10/14)… Lone sack of the season also was recorded vs. the Wildcats… Credited with seven tackles in the season opener at Montana (9/2)… Had five tackles including a tackle for loss at Stetson (9/23)… Recorded six tackles vs. Valpo (10/28) and five in the finale vs. Drake (11/18).

2022 Season (Sophomore): Played in all 11 games, making 10 starts… Ranked fifth on the team with 37 tackles… Recorded 27 solo tackles and assisted on 10 stops… Intercepted a pass vs. Taylor and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown (9/10)… Forced a fumble vs. Dayton (10/8)… Credited with half a tackle for loss at Davidson (10/1)… Recorded a season-high six tackles at Drake (11/12)… Had five tackles vs. Dayton and Valpo in back-to-back games.

2021 Season (Freshman): Played in 10 games… Made eight tackles… Credited with three solo stops while assisting on five tackles… First tackle came in the home opener vs. DePauw (Sept. 11)… Recorded a season-high two tackles at Taylor (Sept. 18)… Matched that effort with two tackles in the finale at Marist (Nov. 20).

High School: Earned four varsity letters… Two-year starter… Second Team All-Conference selection… Team captain… Named Academic All-Conference… Recorded 78 tackles and recovered a fumble in his junior season… Recorded a game-high 10 tackles against Waubonsie Valley… Also played lacrosse. 
 

Personal: Son of Chad and Holly Sturtz… Has a sibling named Griffin… Economics major.
