Bai Kabba joined the Butler program as wide receivers coach prior to the 2017 season. Kabba arrived at Butler after serving on the staff at the University of Redlands in California.

During his first season at Butler, Kabba helped coach wide receiver Pace Temple, a unanimous All-PFL First-Team selection.The junior registered 65 catches for 1,075 yards as a junior, becoming just the fourth Bulldog in program history to go over 1,000 yards in a season. He had five 100-yard games in 2017. His receptions per game and yards per game were both second in the PFL. He is 13th in FCS at 97.7 yards per game.

Kabba helped Redlands to an 8-2 record during the 2016 campaign, including a berth in the NCAA Division III Championships. He served as the team’s video coordinator, and played a key role in the program’s recruiting efforts in California and the Midwest.

His coaching career began at Batavia High School in Illinois, where he served as the wide receivers coach for two seasons. He also served as the sophomore girls’ basketball coach.

Kabba graduated in 2014 from North Central College in Naperville, Ill., with a degree in marketing. He competed for the North Central football team as a starting wide receiver during the Cardinals’ 2011 season that culminated in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) championship.

In addition, Kabba two-time All-American in track and field, and was part of three national championship teams at North Central.

Kabba earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Redlands in 2017.
