Caden Murphy joined the Butler football coaching staff in January of 2022 as the program’s quarterback coach. Before arriving in Indianapolis, Murphy spent two seasons at Temple working as a defensive graduate assistant for the Owls.
His coaching career got started at Northern Illinois. He spent four years working as a student assistant, primarily under Rod Carey’s staff. While at NIU, Murphy worked with quarterbacks coach Craig Harmon while obtaining a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
A native of Chelsea, Mich., Murphy played linebacker for four years at Chelsea High before starting as a student assistant at NIU. Murphy also pursued a master’s degree in higher education at Temple.
