2022 Season: Did not see playing time.

Before Butler: Began his collegiate career at Presbyterian College… Transferred to Charleston Southern.

High School: Three-year starter… Earned four varsity letters… Helped Concord Academy win four conference championships and the 2015 State Title… Posted a 40-17 record that included a 20-4 mark in conference action… Guided his team to a 9-5 season as a senior with a 5-1 record in conference… Threw for 3,564 yards and 36 touchdowns during his senior campaign… 64 percent completion percentage… Two-time team captain… Two-time All-State honoree… Two-time All-Conference selection… Tabbed State Player of the Week after completing 20 of 26 passes for 407 yards and seven touchdowns vs. Christ the King… Set school records in career passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completion percentage… Set single-season records for passing yards and touchdowns… Threw for 384 yards (25-30) and five touchdowns vs. Rabun Gap… Only had three incomplete passes vs. Hickory Grove to end the game with 353 yards and five scores… Went over 300 yards and found the end zone four times vs. High Point Christian… Shined vs. the top ranked defense in the state by going 26-for-30 through the air for 296 yards and four TD’s vs. Statesville Christian… Threw for 2,854 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior… Sophomore stats included 2,143 passing yards and 19 TD’s… Saw some varsity time as a freshman, throwing for 431 yards and five touchdowns… Pi Sigma Alpha honor society… Also played baseball.

Personal: Son of Bobby and Judy McLaughlin… Has one sibling; Abby… Political Science major working towards a Master’s degree in Data Analytics.
