2022 PFL Academic Honor Roll

2025 Season (Redshirt Junior): Appeared in 11 games on the season… punt average on the season was 37.42, and recorded a season-long 67-yard punt against Hanover College (09/13)... made 15 field goals on the year and converted 22 extra points on the year… Short’s average kickoff was 61.5 yards, and he recorded 30 touchbacks on the year. Also recorded two solo tackles against Truman State (09/06) and the Drake Bulldogs (11/01).   

2024 Season (Redshirt Sophomore): PFL Special Teams Player of the Week selection (9/8)... Played in all 12 games… Served as the punter and kicker for the Bulldogs… Went 11-for-14 on field goal attempts… Connected on 10-of-11 from inside 40 yards… Went 1-for-4 from 40-plus… Longest made field goal came from 41-yards out… Went 34-for-41 on extra point attempts… Scored 67 points… Kicked off 62 times… Recorded 18 touchbacks… Averaged 62.2 yards per kickoff… Ended the year with 3,859 kickoff yards… Punted the ball 31 times, averaging 38.1 yards per punt… Longest punt traveled 54 yards… Three punts traveled 50+ yards… Had one touchback… 13 punts were downed inside the 20-yard line… 11 punts resulted in a fair catch… Ended the year with 1,181 punt yards… Had a solo tackles against Upper Iowa (8/31).

2023 Season (Redshirt Freshman): Played in two games… Kicked off one time vs. Taylor (58 yards)… Kicked off at Morehead State (62 yards).

2022 Season (Redshirt): Did not appear in any games. 

High School: Three-year starter… Helped Nazareth Academy win the 2021 CCL Orange Championship… 2019 State Runner-Up… 2018 State Champs… Hit five field goals his senior year while connecting on 30 extra points… Longest made field goal came from a distance of 37 yards… Recorded 30 touchbacks… Limited to just five games as a junior… Went 11-for-11 on point after attempts… Added a field goal and six touchbacks…Honor Roll student… Also participated in track and field… Played basketball.
 
Personal: Son of Jerry and Cindy Short… Has three siblings; Allison, Natalie, Oliva… Accounting major.
