2021 Season (Freshman): Did not appear in any games.

High School: Earned three varsity letters… Three-year starter… Led his team to an 8-6 record during his senior season… Part of a 2020 State Runner-Up team, marking the first finals appearance in 20 years… Helped his team win a sectional championship in 2017 and in 2019… 2020 Second Team All-Conference selection… Recorded 52 tackles during his senior year with nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks… Recorded two sacks during both his junior and sophomore seasons. 
 
Personal: Son of Jay and Denise Newnum… Has two siblings; Sarah and Thea… Majoring in Biology/Pre-Med.
