Biography

**Scored a total of 1,019 points in his two seasons at Butler. 

2024-25 SEASON:
Started all 35 games...finished second on the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game, which was 12th in the BIG EAST...his 5.1 rebounds per game were second on the team...shot 47 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range, and 82 percent at the free throw line...his 66 assists were third on the team, averaging 1.9 per game...selected to the five-member BIG EAST weekly honor roll three times during the season...scored in double figures 27 times, including 20 or more in 10 games...led the team in scoring 13 times and in rebounding in nine games...named to the 2024 Arizona Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after posting 22 points and nine rebounds in the Nov. 29 championship game win over No. 25 Mississippi State...scored a career-high 30 points in the Feb. 15 win over Georgetown...had two double-doubles on the season, featuring 29 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the Jan. 25 win over DePaul and 23 points and 12 rebounds against Merrimack Nov. 22...had seven assists at Seton Hall Feb. 5 and six assists against Western Michigan Nov. 11.

2023-24 SEASON: Started all 33 games for the Bulldogs, playing 32.9 minutes per game...led the team in scoring (and ranked 17th in the BIG EAST) at 14.8 points per game...scored in double figures in 29 of the 33 games...led the team in scoring in eight games and in rebounding four times...had seven games of 20 or more points...scored a season-best 26 points in the Nov. 24 win over Penn State in Orlando...followed that up with 25 points in the Nov. 26 win over Boise State, with 20 of those points coming in the second half...recorded the first double-double of his career in the Jan. 23 win at Georgetown with 20 points and a season-high 11 rebounds...shot 40.6 percent from three-point range, the best mark on the team for anyone with more than 20 attempts on the season...ranked seventh in the BIG EAST at 2.42 made three-pointers per game...hit multiple three-pointers in 25 games, including five in the Nov. 24 win over Penn State and Jan. 16 at Xavier...shot 46 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free throw line...averaged 4.0 rebounds per game, which was fifth on the team...named to the five-member BIG EAST weekly honor roll Nov. 27.

2022-23 SEASON (AS A SOPHOMORE AT MICHIGAN STATE): Saw action in 30 games as a sophomore for Michigan State, making five starts…ranked seventh among the Spartans in both scoring and minutes played as MSU won 21 games and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16…averaged 3.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game…scored in double figures three times, including back-to-back 15-point games against Oregon and Portland as part of the Phil Knight Invitational in late November…went 4-for-4 from behind the arc in the game against Portland Nov. 27… scored 14 points in the season-opener against Northern Arizona Nov. 7, which included four three-pointers…had nine rebounds against Alabama Nov. 24…pulled down six rebounds Dec. 10 vs. Brown…handed out a season-high three assists against Oregon Nov. 25.
 
2021-22 SEASON (AS A FRESHMAN AT MICHIGAN STATE): Appeared in 25 games, averaging 3.7 minutes per game…averaged 0.9 points and 0.5 rebounds per game…played a season-high eight minutes vs. Indiana Feb. 12…scored a season-high five points, connecting on both of his shots from the field, in a win over UConn Nov. 25 at the Battle 4 Atlantis.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won Michigan’s Mr. Basketball Award as a senior in 2021…finished his high school career with 1,973 points, leading Detroit’s Frederick Douglass Academy to a 2021 Division 4 state championship…averaged 33.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game as a senior…consensus four-star recruit was ranked among the Top 75 nationally by ESPN (53), 247sports (64), and Rivals (69)…also the No. 1-ranked recruit in the state of Michigan…played for his father, Pierre Sr., at Frederick Douglass…2021 Associated Press Division 4 boys basketball All-State team as selected by a panel of 11 sports writers across the state…first player in the history of the Detroit Public Schools to be named First Team All-City all four years of high school…scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out five assists in the Academy’s 47-41 win over Tri-Unity Christian in the state title game…helped guide Frederick Douglass to the district final before the state tournament was canceled in 2020…averaged 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a junior...played for The Family on the AAU circuit.

PERSONAL: Son of Pierre and Inger Brooks…has an older brother, Charles, a younger brother, Joshua, and a younger sister, Laila…maintained a 4.13 grade-point average in high school…member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association Student Advisory Council…volunteered locally with the TRiO Upward Bound Program, which helps prepare low-income students for higher education…also served as a youth basketball coach and mentor.
