PRIOR TO BUTLER: Scored 1,054 points and pulled down 582 rebounds in his career at Guerin Catholic...averaged 19.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists as a senior, leading the team to a 23-5 record and an appearance in the regional finals...shot 49 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range...IBCA Academic All-State first team honors...earned all-conference honors...averaged 13 points and 7.7 rebounds as a junior as Guerin Catholic went 22-8 and advanced to the state semifinals...helped the team to a Class 3A state runner-up finish as a sophomore in 2023, averaging 6.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. 

PERSONAL: Son of Brian and Danielle...Brian was a three-time captain and three-time All-Big Ten performer at Purdue (1996-2000) before his 12-year NBA career included winning the 2011 championship with the Dallas Mavericks; he played for six NBA teams...his mother is currently the girls varsity coach at Guerin Catholic...Danielle was a member of Purdue women's teams that won back-to-back Big Ten championships, appeared in four consecutive NCAA Tournaments and won the 1999 national championship...has two sisters.
