Decided to transfer from Butler following the 2020-21 season.

AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21 SEASON): Sustained an injury to the meniscus in his left knee during practice on Jan. 1, 2021 (which required surgery) and missed the remainder of the season...played in the first six games of the season, starting the Dec. 16 game at Villanova...averaged 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 17.6 minutes...shot .636 (14-of-22) from the field and .667 (8-of-12) from the free throw line...scored in double figures twice (10 points vs. Indiana Dec. 19 and 14 points in the win over Providence Dec. 23)...led the team in scoring in the win over Providence...had a season-high five rebounds in his Butler debut Nov. 25 vs. Western Michigan.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Led Guyer to a 27-5 record as a senior, earning Texas All-State third team honors…averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists during his senior campaign…as a junior, helped Guyer to a No. 1 ranking in the state and 34th in the national poll…averaged 15.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a junior…scored 23 points to go along with 19 rebounds and six blocks for Guyer in an 89-86 overtime victory over Allen in a match-up of teams ranked first and second in the state of Texas during his junior season….in 2019 Nike EYBL play, Coles averaged 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds as his Texas Titans were 17-2…rated as the No. 134 player in the Class of 2020 by Rivals…ESPN ranks him as a Top 35 power forward in the Class of 2020…four-star recruit according to Rivals, while both ESPN and 247sports peg him at three stars…played for coach Grant Long at Guyer.

PERSONAL: Son of Jerome and Dawn…has one older brother, Jarek, who played basketball at Bellarmine…his father played basketball at Norfolk State and played professionally in the CBA.
