Chad Bergman joined the Butler Athletics sports medicine team in September of 2021. He works primarily with the Bulldogs' men's basketball and men's tennis programs.
Bergman's experience includes serving as the head athletic trainer for the Golden State Warriors (2011-13) and as the assistant athletic trainer for the San Antonio Spurs (2003-11).
Bergman's collegiate experience includes time with Incarnate Word as an assistant athletic trainer, working primarily with the program's football, baseball and men's soccer teams.
Prior to joining Butler's staff, Bergman was with St. Vincent Sports Performance, assigned primarily to Carmel High School in central Indiana. He served in that role from 2016-21.
Bergman is a 2000 graduate of IUPUI, earning a degree in exercise science with a minor in athletic training. His numerous certifications include the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
