2016: Played in nine matches, including one as a starter... Finished the season with one assist.
2015: Played in all 18 matches, including starting matches at Georgetown and against St. John's in BIG EAST play...had two assists, which came in back-to-back matches against Villanova (Sept. 26) and Evansville (Sept. 29)...recorded nine shots, including four on goal.
2014: Played in all 18 matches, including two as a starter...had eight shots, including two on goal.
2013: Started two of the 20 games of he appeared in this season and scored three goals, including two game-winners. Smith assisted on two more goals to bring his season point total to eight. Of his 20 shots, 10 were on goal.
PRIOR TO BUTLER: A graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Smith was named to the all-conference team as a freshman. During his sophomore year he repeated that feat and earned all-area recognition as well. Smith has spent two years playing under coach Larry Sunderland at the Chicago Fire in the Development Academy. As a junior, he helped his Chicago Fire U16 team reach Finals Week.
"I felt Butler was the best of both worlds that were important to me," Smith said at the time of his commitment. "I liked the opportunities I will have in the classroom and on the field."
