Prior to Butler: Guarino, a graduate of Marian Catholic, is described as a creative player with a knack for scoring. In high school, Guarino was a three-time all-conference, all-area, and Team MVP. In his senior campaign, Guarino was named Maxpreps "Player of the Year" for the 2013-2014 season. Guarino holds both the single-season and career varsity goals records at Marian Catholic.
