2023 - Redshirt-Senior Season: Appeared in 13 matches, starting eight...produced 12 shots over the season with four on goal.

2022 - Redshirt-Junior Season: Appeared in all 19 matches, starting 12...finished second on the team with 17 points and 7 goals...tallied 3 assists...his 7 goals ranked 5th in the BIG EAST, and his 17 total points ranked 8th...generated 29 shots, with 15 on goal...credited with 2 game-winning goals, one at UConn, Sep. 24, and the second vs. IUPUI, Oct. 8...scored a goal in the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal vs. Providence, Nov. 5, and the semifinal vs. No. 17 Georgetown, Nov. 10...notched both a goal and an assist twice, first, vs. Lindenwood, Oct. 21, and second, vs. Georgetown, Oct. 5.

2021 - Redshirt-Sophomore Season: Appeared in 16 matches, starting four...generated 14 shots on the season, with seven on goal.

SPRING 2021 - Redshirt-Freshman Season: Played in all 12 matches for the Bulldogs, making eight starts...scored the first goal of his Butler career March 17 against Creighton...also added an assist for a three-point game...took eight shots on the season, five of which were on goal.

2019 - Freshman Season: Redshirted the season.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: With Vardar of the USSDA, Hooks has played three seasons, starting in 74 of the 86 games played from 2015 to 2019.  Hooks has experience playing in the midfield, outside back and forward. He has also been named as a top 20 player in the Great Lakes region in both 2017 and 2018, while also being ranked one of the top 150 players in the country in 2017. Member of Coerver Preformance Academy, finishing in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Gothia Cup (Youth World Cup; Gothenburg, Sweden).

PERSONAL: Son of Dwight and Yvette...has two siblings, Amber and Sydney.

Coach Snape on Hooks: "DJ Hooks has an incredible work ethic; he's like the energizer bunny in that nobody outruns him on the field. He has pace, athleticism and the ability to play a few different positions for us. I also think he's going to help the spirit of this team and be a great addition to the locker room."
