Prior to Butler: Mitford hails from Dover, England. His explosive speed and technical ability should make an early impact in the BIG EAST. Mitford studied at Dover College and was named Sportsman of the Year for four of his five years at the school. Mitford played the past four seasons with QPR (Queen's Park Rangers) youth level team, which competes in the European Premier league. In his final two seasons with QPR, Mitford accumulated a total of 31 goals.
