2024 - Junior Season: Started all 17 of Butler's matches in the defensive line...scored his first collegiate goal vs. Xavier (10/23)...produced 6 shots over the season...named CSC Academic All-District.

2023 - Sophomore Season: Appeared in all 15 of Butler's matches, starting 14...primarily played in the Bulldogs' defensive unit...registered four shots on the season, with one on goal...named CSC Academic All-District.

2022 - Freshman Season: Appeared in 17 matches, starting 13...primarily played in the defensive line...notched an assist vs. Oakland, Sep. 4...produced 4 shots, with one on goal vs. Providence, Oct. 15.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Verkooijen has often been a captain on his club teams which have included VV Dongen, Willem2/RKC, and FC Den Bosch. His teams have competed in and won several international tournaments with opponents such as Everton, Dortmund, and various premier Dutch sides. He graduated high school at the highest level of the Netherlands (VWO).
 
On choosing Butler: "I chose Butler because, during his visit, Coach Snape convinced me how to develop myself here as a player, student and person. This appealed to me."
