2022 - Senior Season: All-BIG EAST First Team selection...also United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team...started all 18 matches in which he appeared...tied for third on the team (with Jack Streberger) with 16 offensive points, 6 goals, and 4 assists...led the team with 55 shots and with 23 shots on goal...his 3.06 shots per game average led the BIG EAST and was 31st nationally...his .418 shot accuracy was 10th in the conference...scored Butler's only goal against No. 15 Indiana...tallied 1 goal along with 2 assists in a 3-1 win vs. Marquette, Sep. 30...named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week (10/3)...named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.

2021 - Junior Season: Voted All-BIG EAST First Team by the conference head coaches...selected All-East Region by United Soccer Coaches...started all 19 matches for the Bulldogs...led Butler with 12 offensive points on five goals and two assists...led the team with 50 shots and 16 on goal...scored the only goal in a 1-0 win vs. UConn Sep. 18 and notched the game-winner in a 3-1 victory over #18 Lipscomb Sep. 21...his five goals ranked eighth among BIG EAST players, and he ranked fourth in the conference in shots per game, with 2.63.

SPRING 2021 - Sophomore Season: Voted All-BIG EAST First Team by the conference's head coaches...led the Bulldogs with four goals, three assists and 11 total points...his 37 shots (and 15 shots on goal) also led the team...started all 12 matches...had three goals (and added an assist) in the March 3 win over DePaul, the first hat trick of his Butler career...also scored the game-winner in overtime April 3 vs. Xavier...named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week March 8 following his seven-point performance vs. DePaul...named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll April 5...his 3.08 shots per game were second in the BIG EAST and among the Top 50 nationally...his 11 points and four goals were both seventh among BIG EAST players.

2019 - Freshman Season: Voted BIG EAST Freshman of the Year (and All-BIG EAST second team) by the conference's head coaches...his six game-winning goals led the BIG EAST and were tied for fourth nationally...also voted All-Region Third Team by United Soccer Coaches...earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI Team...scored eight goals and registered 19 points on the season, both of which were second on the team to Brandon Guhl...led the Bulldogs with 46 shots, including 29 on goal...his shot accuracy of .609 was sixth in the NCAA...finished tied for sixth in the BIG EAST in goals and seventh in points...named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Nov. 8 after scoring the game-winning goal in Butler's 2-1 win over Xavier in the regular season finale Nov. 6...earned both BIG EAST Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week honors Oct. 21, in addition to a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, after leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week with the golden goal in the 98th minute at Lipscomb Oct. 16 followed by a goal and an assist in the Oct. 19 win at Seton Hall...named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Sept. 16 after scoring the game-winning goal against Wisconsin Sept. 12...selected to the five-member BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Sept. 2 after scoring the game-winning goal in the season-opening 2-1 win over Western Michigan Aug. 30. 

PRIOR TO BUTLER:
 Cabrera joined the Bulldogs after playing with the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros of the USL on an Academy Amateur contract. Cabrera spent three seasons at IMG Academy in Florida, where he earned MVP honors. His youth career was spent at the Colorado Rapids Academy, where he trained from 2011 until 2016. He also played for the Houston Dynamo Academy.

His father, Wilmer, was hired as the head coach of the Montreal Impact (MLS) in August of 2019. He led the Houston Dynamo to the Western Conference finals during the 2017 MLS Cup playoffs and won the US Open Cup in 2018. In MLS, he was also head coach of Chivas USA during their last season in club history, in 2014, and was assistant coach with the Colorado Rapids during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Previously, he was head coach of the U17 US national team, from 2007 to 2012. As a player with his Columbian national team, he played 48 games, scoring three goals, between 1989 and 1998, playing in the 1990 and 1998 FIFA World Cup, as well as in the 1989, 1991, 1995 and 1997 Copa America.
