2020 SEASON (AS A FRESHMAN): Saw action in 18 games, mainly as a pinch-runner (the 2020 season was canceled March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic)...made one start...had nine at-bats (.000)...scored three runs.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Four-year letterwinner and starter...second-team all-state selection as both a junior and senior (tabbed honorable mention as a sophomore)...earned all-conference honors in each of her four seasons...member of the South All-Star Team...hit .524 (.556 on-base percentage) as a senior with 22 stolen bases...hit .411 as a junior (with conference-leading 17 stolen bases), .478 as a sophomore (which led the conference), and .457 as a freshman...team won its conference during her junior season, one year after advancing to the second game of the Indiana semi-state...in the classroom, earned Academic All-State honorable mention honors, named to the academic honor roll, and was the recipient of the Set A Good Example Award...played for coach David Cook...played travel ball for Midwest Academy Elite...also swam for her high school.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Joel and Katie Taylor...has one sibling, Hannah. 

Coach Scott Hall: "We knew we needed to bring in more speed with this class and did not have to look too far to find the perfect fit. Offensively, Abby has that true triple threat capability. She can beat you on a bunt or drive it off the fence for a triple. Defensively, she has great range and a strong arm in the outfield. She brings a great attitude and work ethic to our program. I am truly excited to watch her at the collegiate level!"
