Erin Jackson, a former standout Butler softball student-athlete, has been named an assistant coach for the Butler program prior to the 2016 season.

"Erin brings her knowledge, success and experience as a Bulldog student-athlete back to campus,” said Butler coach Scott. Jackson will work mainly with outfield and slappers, while assisting in all aspects of the Butler program.

Jackson re-joins the Bulldogs after graduating from Butler in 2011. Jackson started in 186 games throughout her four-year career at Butler, while also leading her team in batting average as a senior. Before joining the Butler staff, Jackson worked at Auburn University as a graduate assistant for the athletics apartment. She then worked as a compliance graduate assistant, advising and mentoring softball student-athletes at Auburn.
