PRIOR TO BUTLER: Preiss was a four-year letterwinner at Germantown who helped lead her team to four regional championships and a 2024 conference title. The three-time All-Conference selection and two-time All-District honoree won All-State recognition as a senior, when she batted .556 and was team captain and MVP. She broke school records for total RBI, assists, and HBP. Her Velocity 18u National Scheibe club won first place at the Battle of the Borders and took third at TC Nationals. A two-sport athlete, Preiss also played basketball and picked up scholar athlete and honor roll accolades.

ON CHOOSING BUTLER: “I felt at home within the first few minutes of being on campus. Not only did I fall in love with the softball environment, the campus environment was also very fulfilling. It's a small campus, which is what I love, and it increases the likelihood for me to make friends. The campus itself is beautiful in every way, and I think I am going to enjoy my time here very much.”

PERSONAL: Preiss is the daughter of Shannon and Brandon Preiss and has one sibling, Madison.
