**Opted out of the 2021 season due to COVID-19 concerns

AS A FRESHMAN (2020 SEASON): Injuries limited her to three games and two starts (the 2020 season was canceled March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic)...had one hit in five at-bats...scored one run...her first career hit came vs. Loyola Feb. 8. 

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Three-time first-team All-State selection (2017, 2018, 2019)...also earned first-team all-area and all-conference honors in those three seasons...2019 Daily Journal Co-Player of the Year...2017 and 2019 Manteno Softball Most Outstanding Athlete...selected as the team's 2017 Impact Player and 2018 Coaches Award recipient...2019 ICA All-Tournament Team selection...four-year starter...holds school career records for batting average (.536) and doubles (57)...holds single-season school records in batting average (.641 as a senior), doubles (21 as a junior), home runs (9 as a senior), and RBI (54 as a junior)...hit .515 as a junior and .544 as a sophomore...led team to a record of 87-42 in her four seasons, including a 47-16 conference mark...team won 2018 and 2019 conference championships as well as the 2018 regional title...four-time conference all-academic team honoree...member of the National Honor Society and student council...played for coach Josh Carlile...also played volleyball in high school...played travel ball for Bulls/Sox Academy...team made the 2017 PGF Premier Nationals.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Paul and Karen Bowdish...has one sibling, Paul.

Coach Scott Hall: "Try to run on her, I dare you! That is what comes to my mind when I think of Lexi. She is truly a 'shut-down' catcher. Lexi can control the run game and handle pitchers very well. She is an on-the-field leader behind the plate and makes her defense better. Offensively, Lexi is a power threat and a smart baserunner. She has played at a high level in high school and club and will bring those experiences with her to Butler.  She has a passion for softball that will infect our team and raise our culture!"
