2016: One of three seniors on Butler's first softball team to make the NCAA Tournament...named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team...named to the BIG EAST's five-player Weekly Honor Roll for the week of April 25...made 40 starts in 45 games...came up big in the BIG EAST Tournament, with a three-run double against DePaul in the semifinals and a 2-for-3 performance against St. John's in the championship game...hit .195 on the season...went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles in the April 24 game against Creighton.
2015: Played in 43 games, including 42 as a starter...saw action as both a catcher and an infielder...started Butler's final seven games at shortstop...batted .215 with five doubles, four home runs and 19 RBIs...finished third on the team in putouts (133) and fourth on the squad in assists (41)...had two hits and three RBIs against Villanova and two hits and two RBIs against Ball State in back-to-back games...led Butler past Evansville, 3-1, with a two-run, home run.
2014: Played in 48 games, including 43 as a starter...batted .172 with one double, two home runs and nine runs batted in...had a .983 fielding percentage and finished second on the team in putouts (206)...had two multiple-hit games...hit home runs against Massachusetts and Seton Hall...went three for four with two runs batted in and two runs scored against Massachusetts.
2013: In her first season of action for the Bulldogs, Carter finished the season with a .209 batting average and started all 45 games that she played in. She hit one homer and smacked four doubles to finish the season with 12 runs batted in. Her fielding percentage sits at .937 at her familiar shortstop spot.
Background: Played varsity sotball, volleyball and baseball at Bill Crothers Secondary School...one of two female athletes on varsity baseball team that won a regional championship and was a Provincial Championship qualifier...team captain for 2012 Provincial High School Championship softball team...helped the Ajax Raiders travel team to a national silver medal in 2010...named 2010 Provincial MVP while hitting .535 with 19 runs batted in with the Ajax Raiders...selected to the Provincial Ontario Team U16 and helped the squad finish fifth at the 2010 Easton U16 World Cup...named to the National Junior Development ID Pool...played in the 2011 Canadian National Championship with the Scarborough Rays and finished second among catchers with a .542 batting average and six home runs...helped Provincial Team Ontario to a fifth place finish at the 2012 Canadian Open Fastpitch...one of 25 players nationally selected to attend the final Junior National Team Evaluation Camp.
