Lauren Mitchell, ATC

Lauren Mitchell was hired in the summer of 2013 as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Butler University. Mitchell came to Butler after spending two years at Ball State University.  Her primary responsibilities include volleyball, swimming and track and field. She also serves as the coordinator of Butler Sports Medicine’s affiliation as a clinical site of the Franklin College Athletic Training Education program.

While at Ball State, she served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the women’s field hockey and men’s/women’s tennis teams.  Prior to her time at Ball State, Mitchell spent one year as the Certified Intern Athletic Trainer here at Butler.

Mitchell, a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, also spent the past three summers working as a certified athletic trainer for hockey camps at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Mitchell graduated from Franklin College in 2010 with a B.A. in Athletic Training.  She also earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Performance from Ball State University in 2013.
