Logan Named BIG EAST Player of the Week
Outside hitter Anna Logan helped Butler go 2-1 in conference play last week by contributing a double-double performance in each match. At Marquette, Logan exploded for 20 kills and 24 digs in a five-set loss to the Golden Eagles. She followed that effort with 17 kills and 14 digs in a four-set win vs. Villanova. The final match of the week featured Logan posting 14 kills and 10 digs against the Hoyas. For the week, Logan averaged 4.25 kills per set, hitting at a .240 clip. She came up with 51 total kills and 48 total digs. Her stat line also included two service aces and nine blocks, helping her reach 58 total points. Logan now has 12 double-doubles on the year and has collected 20+ kills on nine occasions. She was second in the league in kills and points for the week.

Killin' It
Sophomore Anna Logan leads the team with 435 kills. She is now 41 kills shy of placing her name in the single-season top ten list of the Butler record book. If Logan averages 15 kills per match over Butler's final nine regular season games she will move to second all-time. The top spot isn't necessarily out of reach, but Logan would have to average 18 kills per match to reach 600.

Butler at Seton Hall Recap (Sept. 23)
The Bulldogs opened their conference schedule against Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J. The match went all five sets and featured Anna Logan, Brooke Gregory and Briana Lilly accounting for double digit kills. BU will have to slow down Cherise Hennigan in the upcoming match after she recorded a match-high 23 kills, including five of the final six kills in the fifth set versus Butler.

Butler at St. John's Recap (Sept. 24)
Anna Logan and Makayla Ferguson both registered double-doubles against the Red Storm in their 3-1 victory earlier in the season. Logan posted her double-double with 18 kills and 11 digs. Ferguson notched 48 assists and added 11 digs. Defensively, Briana Lilly's contributed to the victory with a season-high 10 blocks.

Ace Bulldogs!
Butler has recorded more service aces than their opponent in five-straight matches. The Bulldogs most recently recorded nine aces against Georgetown, tying their second-highest total of the season.

Beck Doubles Up
Whitney Beck has posted a double-double in three of Butler's previous four matches. The talented outside hitter is second on the team with 248 kills. She recently took on a larger role defensively leading to her high dig totals.

Logan Leads the BIG EAST in Kills
Anna Logan is one of the top offensive talents in the country and she has the numbers to prove it. Heading into Saturday's match, Logan ranks third in the NCAA in both total kills (435) and points (492.5). The focal point of the BU offensive attack is hitting .264 on the year to average 4.44 kills per set.

Ferguson Moves to 6th All-Time in Career Assists
Makayla Ferguson has been an impact player at Butler since her rookie season in 2014 when she earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors. Now in her junior season, the standout setter has moved to sixth place all-time at Butler in the career assists category with 3,047. The Martinsville, Ind. native has surpassed 50 assists two different times this season with 58 vs. Gonzaga in the 2016 season opener (5-sets) and 52 in a four-set victory against Loyola. Her career-high total in a single-game came during her freshman campaign when she posted 60 in a five-set match vs. St. John's.
