Katherine Turner finished 56
th in Saturday's NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.. Turner competed among a field of 249 runners from across the country.
Turner finished the race in 20:34.3, covering the 6k LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course on a windy day that featured the coldest temperatures of the season. She finished just 10 seconds outside of All-America honors.
The individual winner in the women's race was Karissa Schweizer. The junior from the University of Missouri finished with a time of 19:41.6 and an average mile time of 5:16.8.
The overall team champion for the women was the University of Oregon. The ducks edged out the University of Michigan by one point to win the title with a score of 125.
This meet concludes Butler's 2016 Cross Country season.
