INDIANAPOLIS- The Bulldogs fell to the Arizona Wildcats Saturday evening 3-0 in their final match of the Butler Invitational (16-25, 22-25, 21-25). This loss ends the nine game win streak that Butler was enjoying coming into Saturday.

Sophomore
Anna Logan fell one kill short of double digits, amassing nine kills in the three sets. Logan added a team-leading two services aces and seven digs in the match.

Makayla Ferguson and
Taylor Takeda were very active against the Wildcats. Ferguson capitalized on all four of her attacks for a 1.000 hitting percentage while also having a team-high 16 assists. Takeda was all over the court on defense, earning her a match-high 17 digs.

The Bulldogs dropped a hard fought first set to the Wildcats, 25-16. Logan and
Whitney Beck were strong on the attack for BU. Both players accounted for three kills a piece on the set. Ferguson added five assists as well as one kill on her one attempt.

Butler lost another tough battle in the second set to a strong Arizona squad, 25-22. After the Wildcats got off to a quick start,
Taylor Takeda brought the 'Dawgs back by serving six-straight points to make the score 10-6.
Jessica Klingensmith was effective on offense with three kills on six attempts.

The third set again went in favor of Arizona 25-21 to end the match. Logan and
Brooke Gregory both had two kills a piece to help the Bulldogs. Logan also would add her second of two service aces. Ferguson supplied four of her 16 assists in the final set of play.

Butler will start their conference schedule in South Orange, N.J. next Friday against Seton Hall. The match will begin at 7PM.Â
