INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs will face off against a pair of quality opponents this weekend with a road match at St. John's, followed by a home game vs. Providence. Each game can be streamed live on the BIG EAST Digital Network. Butler fans are encouraged to attend the Sunday game, beginning at 1 PM. The first 250 fans will receive a rally towel and those students in attendance will receive free pizza.

Collica Lands on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Maria Collica anchored the Bulldog defense which scored its fifth consecutive shutout while also supplying the game-winning goal in Butler's 2-0 victory at Villanova on Saturday in both teams' BIG EAST opener.
Luedtke Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Hannah Luedtke scored her fourth shutout of the season, denying all eight shots faced from Villanova on Saturday on the road. The sophomore bumped her season save percentage to .868, second-best in the BIG EAST, while her goals against averaged lowered to 0.51, which also lists second in the league.
Shutout Streak
The 2016 Butler Bulldogs set a new school record on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory at Villanova. The win marked the fifth-straight shutout of the season, an accomplishment no other team has been able to reach. The streak features wins against Indiana State, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, Evansville and most recently at Villanova.
Balanced Offense Against Stingy Defense
The BU defense will look to slow down a very balanced Red Storm offense in their conference matchup Thursday night. The Bulldogs are riding a streak of five consecutive shutouts and have not given up a single goal since their September 4th matchup with LSU. St. John's however boasts a roster that has seen 11 different players score goals.
Luedtke On Pace to Make History
Goalkeeper
Hannah Luedtke has been phenomenal for Butler through the first 11 games of the season. Her numbers include four shutouts, 33 saves and a 0.51 goals-against average. Luedtke is now on pace to break the Butler single-season goals-against average school record which was set by Julie Burton during the 2012 season (0.69).
Kashimoto Approaching BU History
Serena Kashimoto will look to place her name in the Butler women's soccer record book in the coming weeks after a fantastic start to the season. The senior midfielder leads the team in points (20) and goals scored (8). Her assist total (4) is also tied for the team lead. To reach the BU top ten list, Kashimoto will need three more goals, four more assists or eight more points. As a junior, Kashimoto was named First Team All-BIG EAST, First Team All-Northeast Region, and Second Team All-America. Those accolades landed her on the 2016 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List (NSCAA), a prestigious individual award in college soccer presented annually to the outstanding female player of the year.
'Dawgs Off To Historically Strong Start
Butler has recorded eight wins through the first 11 games of the regular season to signal one of the best starts to a season in school history. The 2016 team only trails the 2002 roster that posted nine wins over the first 11 matches of the year.
