INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs notched their fifth-straight win of the season with a 3-2 decision over Georgetown on Sunday afternoon (25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 15-8). BU now holds a 19-6 overall record with a 9-4 mark against BIG EAST opponents.
 
Anna Logan was the player of the game for Butler with a team-high 19 kills to go along with 18 digs and three blocks. Logan reached 19 kills on just 36 attempts to post a .417 attack percentage.
 
The highest attack percentage on the team belonged to 
Bri Lilly who connected with 16 kills on 34 attempts (.441). She only committed one attack error.
 
Brooke Gregory was in the box score with 11 kills, 
Natalie Ravenell added 10 and 
Whitney Beck was credited with nine. Beck just missed a double-double by adding 22 digs. The team leader in digs was 
Taylor Takeda with 26.
 
Butler broke away from Georgetown late in the first set to grab a 1-0 lead. Lilly came up big down the stretch by recording two of Butler's final three kills in the set.
 
A 7-2 scoring run would make the difference in set two with Butler claiming a 25-19 win. BU broke an 11-11 tie to earn an 18-13 lead.
 
Georgetown didn't go down without a fight as they pushed the match to five sets by winning 25-19 and 25-23. Butler played in their third-straight five set match, but came out on top with a 15-8 win in the fifth. Logan went off for back-to-back kills to get BU to match point. The game-winner came from Ravenell.
 
Butler will return to action next Friday night with a 6 PM match against Xavier. The contest will stream live on BEDN.
