The Bulldogs took a weekend series at Seton Hall by claiming a 4-3 win on Sunday in New Jersey. By taking two of the three games over the weekend, Butler is now 20-27 on the season and 8-9 in BIG EAST play.

Boroff struck out Pandolfo and then got Peck to hit a pop-up to short left center that shortstop
Sarah Dixon was able to grab for the final out. Peck's pop-out came on a full count.
Butler jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third inning.

Jenna Foreman, who led off the inning with a single. After a walk loaded the bases,
Alyssa Lach had a sacrifice fly that scored
Brandyce Sallee. Doud singled with one out to plate the third run of the inning.
The Bulldogs added a single run in the fifth on a Seton Hall error. The Pirates got one back in the bottom of the fifth. In the seventh, Doud retired the first batter, but a walk and three consecutive singles scored two runs and brought Boroff into the circle.
Butler had 10 hits with Doud accounting for three of those. Christiansen and Foreman each had two.
???????Doud went the first 6.1 innings, allowing two earned runs (three total) on nine hits and four walks. Doud is now 7-7 on the season, while Boroff picks up her second save.
Seton Hall is now 22-22-1 on the season and 7-11 in BIG EAST play. The Bulldogs are now in fourth place in the BIG EAST standings, a half-game ahead of Providence and Creighton (that are both 8-10). The top four teams advance to the BIG EAST Tournament next month.
The Bulldogs step away from conference play Wednesday, traveling to Notre Dame for a 5 p.m. contest. Butler closes the regular season by hosting a weekend BIG EAST series against Georgetown.
