STORRS, Conn. – The Butler women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-4 decision at UConn on Saturday afternoon. Butler scored two goals in each half. All four goals were scored by different players.
Butler's first goal was recorded by
Madison Christian off an assist from
Ashley Lizzi. Christian was credited with her 16th goal of the season while Lizzi chalked up her eighth assist of the year.
The final BU goal of the opening 30 minutes came from
Sydney Pattison, unassisted. Pattison made the score 8-2 with her seventh goal of the season which came at the 18:07 mark.
UConn took a commanding 13-2 lead into the break, but Butler would reach the scoreboard first in the second half.
Journey Fischbeck took a feed from Pattison to net her 15th goal of the season. The final BU goal came from
Taylor Kinn off an assist from Fischbeck.
Butler will return to action next week with an away game at Temple. The midweek tilt will be held in Philadelphia on April 12.
