The Butler lacrosse makes the trip to Denver, Colo. Saturday to take on the Pioneers. The Bulldogs are 1-9, 0-2 in the BIG EAST, and look to bounce back after a 17-8 loss to Vanderbilt last weekend. Denver sits at 5-3 this season, 1-1 in BIG EAST play.
Four Bulldogs lead the attack for Butler. After a four-goal game against Vanderbilt,
Christina Soderquist now has 14 goals on the season with one assist. The sophomore also leads the team in draw controls with 47.
Freshman attacker
Ashley Guerra leads the team in goals (16), assists (7), and points (23).
Haley Hallenbeck remains solid in the midfield for the Bulldogs with 14 goals and four assists. The captain has also caused four turnovers and picked up six ground balls.
Rounding out the top scorers for Butler is
Morgan Paige. The freshman has put 12 in the back of the net and assisted four goals for 16 total points.
Haley Rayburn has seen time in goal every game for the Bulldogs. She has a .408 save percentage and a 17.23 goals-against average. The sophomore also has Butler's only win in goal. Junior defender
Carly Hewitt leads the defense, picking up a team-high 17 ground balls and causing 11 turnovers.
After the match-up with Denver, the Bulldogs host Marquette on April 4 with first draw at 2 p.m. Butler then travels to Georgetown on April 7. The match vs. the Hoyas is set to begin at Noon.

Scouting Denver
The Pioneers are coming off their first win in BIG EAST play against UConn on March 24. Denver downed the Huskies 13-5. The Pioneers have also posted wins against Niagara, San Diego State, Louisville, and No. 14 Stanford. Denver is currently ranked T-25 in the IWLCA Coaches Poll.
Junior attacker Julia Feiss has a team-high 22 goals and 25 points on the season. Kendra Lanuza is Denver's assist leader with 10. She also has seven goals this season.
Quintin Hoch-Bullen (16), Elizabeth Behrins (12), and Eliza Radochonski (11) are three other Pioneers with over 10 goals this season.
Carson Gregg (5-2) has seen the majority of time in goal for the Pioneers. She has made 60 saves with a 9.71 goals-against average. The sophomore has a .469 save percentage in her seven games for Denver. Gregg also leads the team in ground balls with 14.
