The Bulldogs continue BIG EAST play this week hosting Marquette (7-4) on April 4 and traveling to Washington, D.C. on April 7 to take on the Georgetown Hoyas (6-4).
Butler is looking for their first BIG EAST win this season after falling to No. 25 Denver on Saturday. Marquette currently sits at the top of the conference with a 3-0 record. Georgetown is 2-1 and sits in the middle of the pack.
Freshmen
Ashley Guerra and
Morgan Paige are both offensive threats for the Bulldogs. Guerra, the team leader in goals (16), also leads the team in assists (7) and points (23). Guerra had five goals in the Bulldogs' 16-7 win over Howard. She also had a hat trick against Campbell earlier this season.
After scoring two goals against Vanderbilt, Paige now has 12 goals this season. The freshman also has four assists for 16 total points.
Haley Hallenbeck and
Christina Soderquist are the two other Bulldogs with over 10 goals, each with 14.
Sophomore midfielder
Mary Davide has made a difference for the Bulldogs on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a team-high 19 ground balls and causing 16 turnovers. Defender
Carly Hewitt leads the team in caused turnovers with 12.

Scouting Marquette
The Golden Eagles topped BIG EAST foe Temple on Sunday, routing the Owls 16-4. The victory tied Marquette for the top spot in the BIG EAST with No. 8 Florida. Marquette also owns BIG EAST wins over Villanova and Cincinnati.
Grace Gabriel leads the Golden Eagles offensively with 43 goals which also leads the BIG EAST. The junior midfielder has six assists for 49 total points. Three Golden Eagles have scored 20 goals or more with Riley Hill (20), Allison Lane (24), and Charlotte McGuire (27). Hill also leads the team and the BIG EAST in assists with 26.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jules Horning (6-4) has seen time in goal all 11 games for Marquette, posting a .417 save percentage and 13.37 goals against average. Lane also helps out defensively, leading the team in ground balls (40) and caused turnovers (16).

Scouting Georgetown
The Hoyas take on BIG EAST opponent Denver on April 4 before hosting the Bulldogs on April 7. Georgetown is coming off a 16-10 win over Cincinnati on March 31. The Hoyas also have a BIG EAST win over Villanova, their only BIG EAST loss coming at the hands of No. 8 Florida.
Taylor Gebhardt and Michaela Bruno lead the scoring for Georgetown. Gebhardt has 27 goals and four assists to lead the team in points with 31. Bruno isn't far behind with 22 goals and eight assists. Marquette's assist leader is Emily Ehle with 18.
Georgetown has remained consistent in goal, starting junior Haelle Chomo (5-4) all nine games. She has made 81 saves with a .407 save percentage. She also leads the team in ground balls with 28. Natalia Lynch and Mollie Miller help out defensively, each causing eight turnovers.
