2018 Fall Schedule
The Bulldogs participate in five events in addition to the annual Butler Pro-Am as part of the 2018 fall schedule. The challenging slate will prepare the team for BIG EAST play during the spring campaign.
First-year head coach
Daniel Pollock released the fall schedule on Monday, Aug. 27.
The first event of the fall is the annual Butler Pro-Am, which is scheduled for Saturday (Sept. 1). The event brings together alumni and supporters of the program for a fun afternoon of doubles play. A small number of registration spots remain available for the event.
The team begins fall competition Sept. 21, traveling to Western Michigan for a weekend of hidden dual matches with several opponents.
Two of the fall tournaments will be played just up the road in West Lafayette, Ind., and will be hosted by Purdue. The Purdue Invitational is slated for Oct. 5-7, while the Black and Gold Invitational is Oct. 26-28.
Knoxville, Tenn., is the site of the 2018 ITA Regional Championships as the Bulldogs will join a strong field.
The fall season concludes in Cleveland for the Viking Invitational on Nov. 2-4. The event is hosted by Cleveland State.
The spring schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Butler returns all nine letterwinners from the 2018 roster that posted a 14-7 record. That same group was also the basis of the line-up that won the 2017 BIG EAST title. The Bulldogs add four talented newcomers as well for the 2018-19 season.
