The Bulldogs blanked the Friars 1-0 on Thursday night in Providence, R.I. to start the last two-game week of league play. Butler moves to 9-4-3 overall and 4-1-2 in BIG EAST play while Providence slides to 8-6-2 on the season and 3-3-1 against conference opponents.

How It Happened
After a scoreless game against (former) No. 11 Georgetown last Sunday, the Bulldogs came out heavy on the offensive side. The Bulldogs held a 13-4 advantage on shots in the first period, with
Anja Savich leading the way with six.

Despite three Bulldogs taking at least one shot on goal apiece, BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, Shelby Hogan, made save after save to keep the game scoreless through the first 45.

In the 67
th minute, the Bulldogs forward
Macy Miller found an opening in the defense, taking the ball up the middle for a shot through several Friars and just out of Hogan's reach.

The goal proved to be the game-winner, tallying a win for the Bulldogs final road game of the regular season.
