Set two started to take form after a 3-0 BU scoring run. The 'Dawgs worked for a 15-10 lead and that advantage would grow to 20-13 after an ace from Shay Horn. The Hoyas would score three of the next four points, but a Butler block would move the 'Dawgs to set point and Megan Sheridan would end the action with a kill 25-20.

Butler controlled the action in the third set and would own a 10-5 lead over Georgetown before the first Hoya timeout. A 6-1 BU scoring run would force Georgetown into calling their second timeout of the set. Butler enjoyed a 14-6 lead during the break.

Iva Vujosevic ignited a 6-0 scoring run in the third that got Georgetown back within two at 15-13. Horn would end the streak with a kill off a Megan Ramseyer assist, but the 'Dawgs were not able to pull away.
