INDIANAPOLIS – Butler will play on the road and at home this weekend with matches on the schedule against DePaul and #10 Marquette. Friday night, Butler will travel to Chicago to face the Blue Demons at 8 PM. On Sunday, Butler will return to Hinkle Fieldhouse to host the Golden Eagles at 1 PM.

- Elizabeth LaBue has been named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 29).
- LaBue recorded a career-high 32 digs in the five-set match vs. Villanova.
- LaBue is averaging 5.80 digs per set for Butler over her last four matches.
- BU leads the conference in digs per set (16.14).
- LaBue recorded four service aces vs. DePaul in the first meeting this year.
- Melody Davidson ranks second in the BIG EAST in blocks per set (1.15).
- Three more blocks for Davidson will move her career total to 200.
- Davidson notched a season-high 11 blocks in the first meeting between Butler and DePaul.
- Butler ranks second in opponent hitting percentage (.180).
- BU ranks third in the conference in blocks per set (2.24).
- Anna Logan ranks 7th all-time at Butler with 1,428 career kills.
- Logan has 99 career service aces at Butler.

SCOUTING DEPAUL: The Blue Demons are 11-11 overall with a 3-7 mark in the BIG EAST Conference. DePaul is led by senior Brittany Maxwell and her team-best 329 kills. Maxwell ranks third in the BIG EAST in kills per set (3.70) and fourth in the conference in points per set (4.20). Head Coach Marie Zidek uses two setters to spark the offensive attack. Both Natalie Hayward and Katie Dolan are over 400 assists this season. The DePaul defense is led by Isabelle Banez and her 428 digs. Banez and Butler's Elizabeth LaBue are currently tied for second in the BIG EAST in digs per set (4.86). At the net, Donna Brown and Avarie Evans-Allen are top talents with 72 and 68 blocks respectively. Brown ranks third on the team in kills. Emma Price ranks second with 209.
 
Donna Brown leads the BIG EAST with a .395 hitting percentage. She has 179 kills on 339 total attempts.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. DEPAUL: Butler leads the all-time series over DePaul 19-9. The 'Dawgs won 3-2 at Hinkle Fieldhouse back on Oct. 2. These two clubs split the regular season in 2018. Butler won 3-0 at home, but lost 3-2 on the road.
 
Anna Logan was an impact player in the first meeting vs. DePaul. She led all Bulldogs with 15 kills. Maxwell and Price led DePaul, combining for 32 of the team's 57 kills.
 
SCOUTING #10 MARQUETTE: The Golden Eagles are one of the best teams in the country with a 19-3 overall record. Their only setback in conference play came to #9 Creighton on Oct. 12 (3-2). Marquette leads the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.274), assists (14.19), and kills (14.80). Allie Barber is the player to keep an eye on. The senior outside hitter leads the conference in kills per set (4.69) and points per set (4.92). Another weapon for Head Coach Ryan Theis is outside hitter Hope Werch. She ranks ninth in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage and first in service aces per set (0.46). Martha Konovodoff is the team dig leader with 366 and Elizabeth Orf plays well at the net with a team-best 60 blocks.
 
All three Marquette losses in 2019 have come against nationally ranked opponents. They lost 3-0 to #17 Baylor, 3-2 to #14 Illinois and 3-2 to #13 Creighton.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. MARQUETTE: The Golden Eagles are up in the all-time series 14-8. Butler's last win over Marquette came in 2017 when the 'Dawgs traveled to Milwaukee to post the 3-2 win.
 
Marquette dominated the action in the BIG EAST opener vs. Butler to win 3-0. Allie Barber led all players with 13 kills.
 
LABUE EARNS BIG EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS: LaBue repeats as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week with a 5.88 digs per set average in a 1-1 weekend for the Bulldogs. The sophomore libero led the BIG EAST last week with 47 total digs over two matches including a career-high 32 digs in a setback against Villanova. On Sunday, LaBue and Butler swept Georgetown to claim their sixth conference win of the season. The sophomore led the team with 15 digs in the match, pushing her career total to 601.
 
NCAA TEAM RANKINGS: Butler ranks 55th in digs per set (16.14) and 87th in blocks per set (2.24).Those numbers move to 43rd in total digs (1,404) and 54th in total blocks (194.5).
 
NCAA INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS: Elizabeth LaBue ranks 44th in the NCAA in digs per set (4.86). Melody Davidson ranks 76th in the country in blocks per set (1.15).
 
UP NEXT: Butler will play two road matches next weekend with games coming up at Seton Hall and St. John's. BU swept Seton Hall at Hinkle Fieldhouse and notched a 3-1 victory at home over the Red Storm.
 
Butler leads the all-time series over Seton Hall 8-5. They are also ahead of St. John's 9-4.
