INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs will play at Stetson to signal the start of conference action. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+. Kick-off is slated for 12 PM.

- Devin Aguilar made a season-high six tackles at Princeton.
- Butler is averaging 33 points per game vs. Stetson while only allowing just 21 (4 games).
- Butler's longest play at Princeton was a 30-yard pass from Towns to Baker on the opening drive.
- Butler stopped Princeton on 4th and 1 to stop the Tigers first offensive possession of the game.
- Nick Orlando leads the team with two rushing TD's.
- Orlando is averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
- Drew Bevelhimer is 7-for-7 on extra points.
- Ryan Smith (7), Beau Snuggs (6), and Bradley Magee (5) all recorded career-high tackle totals at Princeton.
- Drew Dingman has punted for 200+ yards in three of Butler's first four games. His longest punt of the season was 53 yards vs. Taylor.
- Brad Sznajder took a season-low six handoffs at Princeton. He still leads the team in all-purpose yards per game at 83.2.
 
SCOUTING STETSON: The Hatters are 3-1 on the year after recording a 55-21 win over North Carolina Wesleyan. NCWC scored the first 14 points of the game last Saturday, but Stetson would respond by outscoring their opponent 28-0 in the second quarter. QB Gaven DeFilippo threw for three touchdowns and rushed for two more on the ground. He only had three incomplete passes, connecting on 21 of his 24 attempts. The ground game also favored the home team with Jareem Westcott rushing for 111 yards on just eight carries. Jalen Leary did the heavy lifting with 98 yards and one TD on 18 carries. The Stetson D was led by Colby Duncan and his eight tackles. 2019 season stats reflect the numbers posted in the NCWC contest. Westcott and Leary are a one-two punch with four rushing TD's each. Westcott has a team-high 308 rushing yards, while Leary is close behind with 241. DeFilippo is completing 66 percent of his pass attempts to average 239 yards per game.
 
Gaven DeFilippo was named PFL Offensive Player of the Week and Connor Wilson was tabbed PFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES: Butler has never lost to Stetson, giving the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead in the all-time series.
 
The first meeting between Butler and Stetson was in 2013. The Bulldogs won at home 35-15.
 
LAST YEAR VS. STETSON: Butler pulled out a 28-23 win vs. Stetson last year at the Sellick Bowl. Stephen Dennis was the player of the game with four catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns. His 73-yard TD grab in the third quarter marked the only points of the second half for Butler. 
 
Dennis had a 68-yard TD catch in the first half. Additional Butler touchdowns came from Brad Sznajder on a four-yard TD run and Will Marty who ran it in from 14-yards.
 
SLOW DOWN STETSON: The Hatters lead the PFL is scoring offense (48.8) and total offense (538.0). They also rank second in the PFL in total defense (367.2). They have scored 50+ points in every game except their PFL opener when they lost 26-23 at Marist.
 
Marist opened up a 12-0 lead vs. Stetson, but the Hatters would fight back to claim a 23-19 advantage. The game-winning play came halfway through the fourth quarter with Luke Strnad hitting Anthony Olivencia for a 75-yard TD pass.
 
CONFERENCE OPENERS: Butler has posted a 5-5 record over the last 10 years in PFL openers. They have never played Stetson to open the conference season.
 
Butler defeated Morehead State 24-21 last year in the PFL opener at the Sellick Bowl.
 
SENNETT TACKLES THE TIGERS: Luke Sennett recorded a team-high 14 tackles at Princeton to move his season total to 32.
 
Sennett heads into the Pioneer Football League opener with 195 career tackles.
 
ORLANDO OPENS UP OFFENSE: Backup QB Nick Orlando rushed for 70 yards at Princeton and added 41 passing yards.
 
Orlando was responsible for the lone BU touchdown for the Bulldogs. He now has a rushing TD in back-to-back games.
 
SAM SIDELINED WITH INJURY: Sam Brown was unable to play at Princeton. He is listed as day-to-day, but is expected to play at Stetson.
 
Cameron Towns started at QB with Brown unable to go. He ended the contest with 10 completions for 125 yards vs. the Tigers.
 
BUILDING BLOCK FOR BAKER: Adam Baker led Butler in receiving yards at Princeton for the first time in his young career. He pulled down a 30-yard reception that helped him end the day with three grabs for a career-high 44 yards.
 
Johnny O'Shea had three grabs at Princeton. He had a season-high 29 receiving yards.
 
UP NEXT: Butler will host Drake on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 PM.
